Wolverhampton Wanderers Are Not Interested In Efe Ambrose
Published: November 25, 2016Suggestions that Nigeria international Efe Ambrose will undergo trials with Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers, with a view to a transfer, are incorrect.
Reports that emanated out of the Nigerian press had claimed that new Wolves boss Paul Lambert could move for the Celtic outcast in the January transfer window, but the story ended up being false after it was investigated by highly respected journalist Tim Spiers of Express & Star.
Spiers stated : “Celtic defender Efe Ambrose is not having a trial with Wolves. Reports elsewhere are incorrect. Not currently a target.”
Ambrose, 28, will be free to talk to an interested club in the next five weeks or so as he comes off contract with the Bhoys next summer.
He joined Celtic from Israeli side Ashdod in 2012.
