Nigeria Take Joint 50th Place With Burkina Faso In Latest Fifa Ranking
Published: November 24, 2016Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday morning published its latest ranking of National Teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles have climbed ten places and now occupy the 50th position along with Burkina Faso, while they are seventh in the continental ranking.
Senegal, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Egypt and Algeria are the top five teams in Africa in that order.
Our remaining World Cup opponents Cameroon and Zambia are 65th and 91st respectively in the updated ranking.
In the global ranking, 2014 World Cup vice-champions Argentina lead the way followed by Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com, on 22 December 2016.
