Algeria Hero Madjer: Brahimi Proved He Is A Very Important Player Against Nigeria
Published: November 17, 2016Former FC Porto striker and retired Algerian international Rabah Madjer has commented on the situation of Yacine Brahimi, who was the most impressive player in the Algerian team when they tackled Nigeria on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has seen his first team opportunities limited in the ongoing season, with only one start in the Primeira Liga out of a possible ten despite being fit.
“Brahimi proved against Nigeria that he remained a very important player and that one could bet on him,” Madjer told O Jogo.
“Leaving him on the bench is detrimental and for him and for his team.”
Brahimi, who sported the number 11 jersey, lasted ninety minutes on the pitch against Nigeria.
