From dreams to reality: Tottenham starlet sends message to Olusesi after pro debut v Hoffenheim
Published: January 24, 2025
Tottenham Hotspur's young forward Mikey Moore has revealed the heartfelt message he shared with his teammate Callum Olusesi ahead of the young midfielder's senior debut during Spurs' 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim on Thursday night.
Olusesi, who replaced James Maddison late in the game, made a memorable debut for the senior team, marking a significant milestone in his young career.
The 17-year-old midfielder's performance in the match capped off a breakthrough season, following impressive displays in the Premier League 2, where he has scored four goals in nine appearances.
Moore, who has also made a strong impression in the youth setup congratulated Olusesi in a post on X, sharing the duo's long-standing dream of featuring together for the senior side.
"Congrats brother, something we've dreamed of and spoken about for years playing together for this club. Proud of you mate," Moore wrote on X.
Both Moore and Olusesi have been key figures in Tottenham's youth teams, and their consistent performances have earned them spots on the first team, filling in for injured senior players.
Despite their individual success, the pair have yet to feature together in the senior squad until Thursday's game, making Olusesi's debut even more special.
The pair's journey together began at Tottenham's academy, and they have since represented England's youth teams as well.
Their bond continues to grow as they look to make an even bigger impact for the Spurs first team in the future.
Olusesi's debut marks another step forward in his promising career, with both he and Moore eager to continue their rise in the senior ranks at Tottenham Hotspur.
