Ex-Marseille Coach Warns Super Eagles : Cameroon Can Beat You Even In Nigeria
Published: November 14, 2016Former Marseille coach Rolland Courbis has refused to write off the chances of Algeria qualifying for the World Cup despite picking up just one point from their first two matches, and reckons that Cameroon will beat the Super Eagles in their next two fixtures.
Ahead of Nigeria’s next two games against the Indomitable Lions in August and September 2017, they lead the way in Group B of the qualifiers with six points, and would be behind in the standings if they are beaten by their fierce rivals.
“It is clear that Algeria has lost its jokers but I would say that the qualification remains still possible, ” Courbis told Le Buteur.
“However, the team will have to win its next four games. Also, I do not see the Nigerians able to win nine points in the next three games.
“Cameroon has the means to beat them even in Nigeria.”
Rolland Courbis was among the candidates contacted by the Algerian Football Federation to handle the Desert Foxes following the resignation of Rajevac.
