Iheanacho, Iwobi, Mikel, Moses Not Considered For BBC African Footballer of the Year Award
Published: November 13, 2016Super Eagles Premier League stars Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City), Obi Mikel (Chelsea), Ahmed Musa (Leicester City), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) and Victor Moses have not been considered for the BBC African Footballer of the Year award 2016.
The five candidates nominated for the award include : Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon), Andre Ayew (Ghana), Riyad Mahrez (Algeria), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast).
Fans from around the world have until November 28 to select their best player, and the winner will be announced on December 12.
Retired Nigeria internationals Emmanuel Amuneke, Nwankwo Kanu (2) and Austin Okocha (2) previously won the award.
