Spurs Loanee Believes Algerian MSN Can Go Toe-To-Toe With Iheanacho, Iwobi & Moses
Published: November 12, 2016Tottenham Hotspur loanee Nabil Bentaleb has analyzed the World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Algeria, and believes the Desert Foxes can go toe-to-toe with their opponents.
The likes of Manchester City’s Iheanacho, Arsenal’s Iwobi, Chelsea’s Victor Moses are expected to be on parade for Nigeria, while Leicester City pair Mahrez, Simani and Nabil might start the game for Algeria.
The Schalke 04 midfielder has admitted that it would be difficult to secure a win in Uyo because top African teams hardly lose on their home pitch.
“It will be a very delicate match. It is well known that Nigeria has quality players who all play in European clubs,’’ said Bentaleb, according to Le Buteur.
“We have nothing to envy them. We also have high level players. We’ll have to be ready on D-Day. We do not have the right to make mistakes.
“We have to react and show what we are capable of. It’s still football and everything can happen in the space of 90 minutes.
“This game will be played on small details and also on the mind.’’
The Super Eagles clash with the Desert Foxes will kick off at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium at 1700 hours on Saturday.
