Dad To Watch Man City Wonderkid Iheanacho Bid To Etch His Name Into Nigeria History Books
Published: November 11, 2016Kelechi Iheanacho’s father, James Iheanacho, will be among the spectators at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium on Saturday, as the Manchester City striker bids to etch his name into the Super Eagles history books.
Having scored in each of his last four matches, the 20-year-old will become the first Nigerian player to score in five consecutive matches for the senior national team if he finds the back of the net against the Desert Foxes.
“I just arrived in Uyo and I will be at the stadium tomorrow. I am assuring you he will score against Algeria and that’s why I came from Owerri to support him, ” said James Iheanacho to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I will see him this night and tell him to make sure he scores against Algeria. ”
Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal in 2016 against Mali in May, then carried on where he left off in the next game against Luxembourg, and kept that run going against Tanzania and Zambia.
