USA Overtake Nigeria In Race For New Luis Suarez, Lateef Omidiji; Invited To U14 Squad

The 13-year-old American-born striker has been invited to a get-together by USA U14s coach and will link up with the squad from his based in the Netherlands next week.
Omidiji Jr is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the Netherlands and leads his team in goal scored this season, according to his minders.
Initially, he flirted with the Nigerian team but had second thoughts about representing the African powerhouse after his sister Sophia Omidiji was dropped from the Falconets squad ahead of the World Cup, plus he was ignored for selection during the Golden Eaglets screening exercise.
Las Vegas - born Omidiji has been scouted by the likes of Barcelona, Read Madrid, PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal among others, with a view to a transfer when he attains the age of majority.
