Algeria Hand Late Call-Ups To Arsenal Wonderkid Bennacer, Two Others Ahead Of Trip To Nigeria
Published: November 07, 2016Algeria national team coach Georges Leekens has handed late call-ups to three players following the withdrawal of Dinamo Zagreb striker El Arabi Hillel Soudani, Lyon star Rachid Ghezzal and Montpellier winger Ryad Boudebouz from the squad as a result of injury.
The three invited players are Baghdad Bounedjah (Al Sadd SC, Qatar), Ismaël Bennacer (Arsenal) and Yassine Benzia (Lille).
In-form Bordeaux attacking midfielder Adam Ounas, who previously played for France youth team, earlier withdrew from the squad after picking up an injury.
The 18-year-old Ismaël Bennacer represented France at U18 and U19 level before he committed his international future to the Desert Foxes.
He made his first team debut for Arsenal in a League Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday in October 2015.
