Work Permit Delays Transfer Of Liverpool Striker Awoniyi To NEC
Published: August 22, 2016Dutch Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen are expected to announce the capture of the signature of Nigeria U23 international Taiwo Awoniyi as from this week.
The Liverpool young star passed his medical examination with NEC Nijmegen early last week, but the Goffertstadion outfit have been keeping their lips sealed on the transfer because the paper work has not yet been completed.
“Nothing is delaying Awoniyi’s move to NEC Nijmegen, all is sealed and settled, ” a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The rule in Holland is a little different. Until the work permit is granted, NEC can’t make the transfer official but we hope it is granted this week.”
