Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the English Premier League on Saturday.

In the early kickoff, Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was introduced in the 83rd minute as Man City thrashed Stoke City 4-1. He notched an assist in the 86th minute. Teammate Tosin Adarabioyo wasn’t involved.

Moses Odubajo remains on the sidelines and was not in action in Hull City’s 2-0 win against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Dele Alli and Josh Onomah came on in the 68th and 90th minute respectively as Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in a London derby. Ex- Nigeria U20s invitee Freddie Ladapo remained on the bench for the Eagles throughout the contest at White Hart Lane.

Nigeria national-teamer Odion Ighalo worked a ninety-minute shift in attack as Chelsea netted twice in the last ten minutes to earn  a 2-1 win at Watford.

Victor Moses entered into the fray in the 71st minute for the Blues, Ola Aina (Chelsea) and Scotland international Ikechi Anya (Watford) were non-playing substitutes. Isaac Success failed a late fitness test and did not make Watford’s squad.

England star Ross Barkley was credited with an assist for Everton, who secured a 2-1 win over West Brom at The Hawthorns. The attacking midfielder played the full game.

Sheyi Ojo has suffered a fracture in his back, so was not involved as Liverpool were beaten 2-0 by newly promoted Burnley at Turf Moor. Portugal youth international Tiago Ilori did not play for the Reds as well.

It finished goalless at the King Power Stadium in the tie between Arsenal and champions Leicester City. Hale End Academy products, injured Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom, were not selected by manager Arsene Wenger.

The Foxes record signing  Ahmed Musa appeared off the bench in the 85th minute for his home debut.
