Olufela Scores For Southampton In Seven-Goal Thriller; U18s Striker Afolabi Benched
Olufela Olomola struck in the second half in Southampton U23s entertaining 4-3 win over AFC Bournemouth in a pre-season friendly staged at Staplewood Campus on Thursday night.

On 51 minutes, the 18-year-old put the Saints 3-1 up when he fired in at the far post after a cross from Barnes, and was involved in the first and fourth goals scored by his team.

The former Arsenal youth-teamer made way for Thomas O’Connor with 24 minutes of the contest remaining.

London-born Olomola, who represented the youth team of Arsenal before his shift to Southampton, was in the first team’s traveling party to United States and Holland for pre-season training.

Today, Friday, striker Jonathan Afolabi was an unused substitute as Southampton U18s beat Norwegian club Rosenborg 2-1 in a warm-up game.
