Nigerian-Born Whizkid Adekanye, Awoniyi, Ejaria Retained By Liverpool
As many as six players of Nigerian descent have been retained by Liverpool ahead of the 2016-2017 season.

Taiwo Awoniyi was immediately farmed out on loan to FSV Frankfurt soon after he joined the Reds, but he is in the frame to play for his parent club next term, subject to a successful work permit application.

The Nigeria U23 international has been retained and joining him are England youth internationals Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo.

Nigerian-born whizkid Bobby Adekanye has struggled with injuries since he arrived Liverpool but will remain at the club having penned a three-year deal last July.

Former Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria and Portugal U23 international Tiago Ilori complete the list of players eligible to represent Nigeria retained by Liverpool.
