Alexander The Great! Arsenal Hero Kanu, Wenger Hail Fearless Iwobi
Published: April 02, 2016Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu and manager Arsene Wenger have showered
praise on Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi after his imperious display
against Watford at the Emirates on Saturday.
The 19-year-old put up a man-of-the-match performance in the Gunners 4-0 rout of the Hornets, notched his second Premier League goal in as many games, and was involved in the opening goal scored by Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger said in his post match comments : “He has been here since he was seven or eight. He’s fearless and very mobile.”
Kanu said on Twitter : “Congrats Iwobi we are proud of you so keep performing this way and am happy for you. Well done arsenal good all round performance.#coyg.”
Iwobi has been awarded the Man of the Match in both Premier League games he has started for Arsenal, against Everton and Watford.
