Chidozie Awaziem Stars As Porto Knock Out Real Madrid From UEFA Youth League
Published: February 18, 2015Chidozie Awaziem made his UEFA Youth League debut for the Under 19 squad of Primeira Liga giants Porto on Tuesday.
The 18 - year - old started and completed the game against Real Madrid held at Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, and was cautioned in the 63rd minute.
Tournament’s top scorer Mayoral gave Real Madrid the lead in the 60th minute, but the Portuguese set up leveled nine minutes from time through Leonardo.
In the penalty shoot out, Porto converted three of their spot kicks while The Whites could only score one.
In the group stage of the competition, Fidelis Irhene made four appearances for Porto, but failed to make the 18 - man squad for the trip to Madrid.
