Falcons Coach Invites Liverpool Dazzler Asisat Oshoala, 35 Others For Training Camp
Published: February 13, 2015Ahead of the All Africa Games, 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers and the Fifa Women’s World Cup final, Falcons coach, Edwin Okon, has invited 36 players for a training camp in Abuja , starting from next Sunday, February 22.
Edwin Okon has decided there is no room in the squad for the veteran forwards Perpetua Nkwocha and Cynthia Uwak, who have won the African Women’s Player of the Year six times between them.
While the Falcons coach has left out the experienced duo, he has included some talented youngsters on the roster, including Liverpool Ladies star Asisat Oshoala, Osinachi Ohale, Ngozi Okobi, and Francisca Ordega.
River Angels have contributed the most players to the squad list, eight in total, followed by Pelican Stars with 4, while Delta Queens and Sunshine Queens have three players each .
The Falcons first official game in 2015 is an All Africa Games qualifier against Mali on March 22.
