Hobro Annoyed To Lose Out To Vejle In Paul Onuachu Race
Published: February 04, 2015Hobro sports director Jens Hammer is rueing their failure to sign Paul Onuachu from FC Midtjylland in the January transfer window.
The Danish Superliga side had reached a gentleman’s agreement with The Wolves regarding the acquisition of the Olympic National invitee before they pulled the plug on the transfer on deadline day.
“It was kind of a shame of course, but that’s the game sometimes. Unfortunately, we can not determine the other team’s players, and it was entirely FC Midtjylland’s decision.
“ It was kind of an old agreement we had. If they got another striker in, so we were allowed to hire Paul,” Jens Hammer told DR Sporten.
Vejle finally won the race for Paul Onuachu, with the youngster expected to remain on their books until the end of this season.
