Lola Phillips Returns To Confluence Queens
Published: January 07, 2015Former captain of Confluence Queens, Lola Phillips has returned to the club following a two-year spell with Federation Cup and Nigeria Women Premier League champions Rivers Angels.
The former Makwada Queens, Delta Queens and Adamawa Queens forward joined Confluence Queens in 2010/11 and left after the 2011/12 season as the captain of the club.
However, after two years of leaving the Wada Queens, Lola Phillips is back home.
Media officer of the club, Ojo Tosin confirmed that the Kogi born striker has finally returned home to continue her promising football career.
“We are happy to have Lola Phillips back to the club. She was once a captain and a vital player of the club for two seasons before she left for Rivers Angels. We hope she will continue from where she has stopped.”
Loly Bright as she fondly called also promised to give her best to her darling state team.
“I’m happy to return home and to the club I once captained, I promise to give all my best to this team to achieve more success. I will never let the management and the fans down in our quest for success,” she said.
