Official : Sarpsborg Snap Up Emem Eduok On Four - Year Deal
Published: January 03, 2015Both Esperance and Emem Eduok could be sanctioned by Football governing body, Fifa, after the Tunisian club announced (through unofficial sources) it has struck a deal with a wrong party, Dolphins of Port Harcourt, for the signature of the Nigeria B international.
Sporting Director of Sarpsborg, Thomas Berntsen, has insisted that the Dolphins loanee penned a four - year contract in December 2014 after reaching an agreement with A & B academy, who own his economic rights.
“Of course we have registered this, but relate to the agreement we have with the player himself and A & B Academy. From his agent we have learned what club we should relate to.
“Eduok has confirmed, both oral and written, that A & B Academy is the club that owns him.
“Also the club has confirmed and we estimate that it is correct. We have a watertight contract that lasts until 2018 and expects him emerge as agreed,” says Thomas Berntsen to the online edition of SA.no.
The club chief further confirmed that he has been in contact with Emem Eduok in the last few weeks, after penning the contract.
“We act with a player from another continent. That said, we have signed a four-year contract with the player himself and have an agreement with the club that owns him.
“If he still does not show up, it quickly becomes a FIFA case. We have a contract with the player and relate to it,” he concluded.
Emem Eduok is presently with the Super Eagles ahead of exhibition games against Ivory Coast and Sudan in the United Arab Emirates.
