Ex Switzerland Youth Teamer Steven Ukoh Pledges International Future To Nigeria
Published: December 18, 2014Steven Archibong Effiong Ukoh has been permitted by Fifa to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria after representing the youth teams of Switzerland in the past.
Born in Switzerland 23 years ago to parents who are both from Nigeria, Ukoh chalked up 43 appearances for Switzerland’s age - grade teams before he decided to severe ties with his country of birth.
For the past three years, the central midfielder has represented Biel-Bienne, playing 69 games for the club in the Challenge League and scoring 10 goals in the process.
He previously defended the colours of BSC Young Boys and Lugano before shifting to Biel-Bienne.
