Official : Amobi Okugo Joins Orlando City
Published: December 09, 2014Through the official website, MLS side Orlando City have announced the acquisition of American - Nigerian midfielder Amobi Okugo from Philadelphia Union.
Per MLS and club policy, the financial terms and duration of the contract have not been disclosed.
An ex USA Under 20 international, Amobi Okugo had spent the last five seasons at Philadelphia Union, and during that time, he appeared 117 times for the club in the league, scoring 5 goals in the process.
Akugo joins Orlando City from the Philadelphia Union for allocation money and a 2016 natural second round pick.
The 23 - year - old previously turned out for IMG Soccer Academy and UCLA Bruins.
