Supreme Court FC Off To Winning Start, Confront Remo Stars On Sunday
Published: July 05, 2014One of the strong contenders in the Nigeria National League (NNL), Supreme Court FC of Abuja began their quest to launch back to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over Nigeria Nation-Wide League (NNWL) Division one side, Juvenile FC in the ongoing World Cup Break Tournament taking place in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.
The Apex Boys as the Abuja team are fondly known though started calmly in the first half on match day one however came into the second half with thunder-bolt approach to bury their opponents.
Goals began pouring in the 54th, courtesy of Kabiru Ahmed strike. Later on, Samson Folorunsho increased the tally to two after converting a penalty in the 76 munite.
Again, Ahmed stroke in the 88th minute and got a brace which took the goal margin to three.
Speaking shortly after the thrilling encounter, Supreme Court FC Technical Adviser, Fatai Osho praised the resilience spirit of his boys adding “I want to commend my players for putting up a commanding performance and I’m really pleased with them. Our cohesion was a big problem to the opponents and they struggled to cope with us all through.
“We are still going to make adjustments where we noticed errors and weaknesses to bring the team to the standard I believe we should attain before the commencement of the final phase of the league.”
The Abuja-based side will on Sunday take on Remo Stars in another encounter.
