Funso Ojo Banished To B Team
Published: March 16, 2013Belgian - Nigerian midfielder Funso Ojo has been banished to the B team of Beerschot by Chairman Patrick Vanoppen, writes Nieuwsblad.
Ojo repeatedly complained about late payments of his entitlements. In addition, he was involved in an altercation at training with teammate Joachim Mununga earlier in the season.
Beerschot, who have two other Nigerian players on their payroll, are experiencing financial difficulties. They have asked the courts to protect them from their creditors.
Against Cercle Brugge on Saturday, only former Golden Eaglets striker Kennedy Nwanganga suited up for De Mannekes. Belgium international Marvin Ogunjimi was an unused substitute.
