Official: Kim Ojo Inks Three - And - A - Half Year Deal With Racing Genk
Published: January 15, 2013Nigerian striker Kim Ojo's five - year stay in Norway came to an end on Monday. Belgian club Racing Genk have officially announced the acquisition of Ojo on a three - and - a - half - year contract.
Brann CEO, Roald Bruun-Hanssen confirmed the departure of Kim Ojo to the press in Norway.
''This is probably the best for both parties. It is a further step in the career of Kim. He has done a good job for SK Brann the two years he has been here. Now we must try to find a replacement. Kim has been an important player for us,'' says Bruun-Hanssen to bt.no.
Standard Liege were also interested in Ojo, but Racing Genk moved faster and snatched the striker from under their noses.
In two seasons with SK Brann, Ojo netted an impressive 26 goals in 57 matches in Norway's top division.
