Wantaway Kim Ojo Travels To Belgium To Discuss With Racing Genk
Published: January 14, 2013There are strong indications that wantaway Nigerian striker Kim Ojo has played his last game for Norwegian outfit SK Brann. He was missing in Sunday's friendly against Vard Haugesund (0-0).
Reports in Norway are linking Ojo with a winter move to Belgium club Racing Genk, who first approached the unhappy striker last November. Then, both clubs agreed on a transfer fee, but the player refused to formalize the transfer by putting pen-to-paper on a contract.
''I will not say that it has become impossible for Kim Ojo to continue in SK Brann. It has primarily been the wish of Kim long ago to try working in a bigger league, and we have been open to it.
''We knew that the chances were greater that something would happen in January. Kim is free to move. We may have more to say in the course of a day or two,'' sporting director of Brann, Rolf Magne Walstad told bt.no.
