VINCENT ENYEAMA: Would Be Painful To Miss Games
Published: October 18, 2012Maccabi Tel Aviv custodian Vincent Enyeama returned to training on Thursday after playing for the Super Eagles last weekend against Liberia in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Now that Nigeria has qualified for the continent's premier soccer competition, it is certain that Enyema's Israeli club will be without Enyeama in January and the first few weeks of February next year.
Speaking on the absence of the Nigeria numero uno, Coach Oscar Garcia told one.co.il: '' The expected absence of Enyeama, we'll play with one goalie, for sure."
Enyeama has admitted that his non - availability early next year is very painful in the ambitions of the club to challenge for silverware.
The ex Enyimba hero told one.co.il: ''I am delighted to be part of this project. I thank the coach and the team. Won't be easy to miss part of the season. Every point to help the team achieve is important. Would be painful to miss games. We want the team to be very strong. Want to win the league and cup."
