Through official channels, Polish club KS Dozamet Connector Nowa Sól have announced the signing of Sean Kanu, the son of Nigeria and Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu.
The length or financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by KS Dozamet Connector Nowa Sól, who only informed that he is joining the club from another Polish team Górnik Polkowice.
The signing ceremony had Amara Kanu in attendance, who is Nwankwo Kanu's wife and Sean's mother.
A product of the Watford academy in England, Sean Kanu departed the Hornets without making his senior debut.
His father is a household name in Nigerian football, winning several major titles, including the UEFA Champions League (1995) with Ajax Amsterdam, the English Premier League (2002, 2004) with Arsenal, and the FA Cup (2002, 2003, 2008).
He also won Olympic gold (1996) with Nigeria and the Fifa U17 World Cup (1993).
Nwankwo Kanu was twice named the African Footballer of the Year, winning the prestigious award in 1996 and 1999.
His exceptional skill, leadership, and achievements at both club and international levels earned him this recognition.
Sean Kanu will not make his competitive debut for KS Dozamet Connector Nowa Sól on Sunday afternoon as the striker was omitted from the matchday squad for the match against Debem.
