Nigerian exports: Dessers, David in red-hot form; Orban, Otele off the mark; Chukwueze, Uche score

 Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers continued his remarkable resurgence, netting a crucial goal in Rangers’ 3-1 league victory over Dundee United.

After a difficult period of the season that raised questions about his future, Dessers has found his form, starting with a Scottish Cup hat-trick, followed by a goal against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League, and another fine strike on Sunday.  

In the Bundesliga, Gift Orban opened his Bundesliga account for Hoffenheim in their 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Nigerian striker came off the bench in the second half and scored just two minutes later, marking his first goal since his summer move.  

Meanwhile, Samuel Chukwueze returned from about four-week injury layoff to score a match-winner for AC Milan against Parma.

The Super Eagles winger was introduced in the second half and scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner to secure a 3-2 victory, signaling a hope of resurgence after struggling for form.

In Ligue 1, Moses Simon continued to be a bright spark for Nantes, providing an assist in their 1-1 draw against Lyon.

Simon set up Mostafa Mohamed for a late equalizer and nearly found the net himself in the 31st minute, only for his effort to be ruled out.

The winger has tallied five goals and six assists in 18 league games this season.  

In Spain, Christantus Uche scored his second goal of the season for Getafe in their commanding 3-0 win over Real Sociedad.

The Nigerian forward broke the deadlock with a goal in the 72nd minute before Carlos Perez added a brace to seal the victory.  

In the Super Lig, Ibrahim Olawoyin had a standout performance for Rizespor, contributing a goal and an assist in their 3-2 triumph over Adana Demirspor.

The midfielder’s strike was his second of the season, highlighting his growing influence in the Super Lig. 

Promise David continued his goal-scoring streak for Union Saint-Gilloise, finding the back of the net in their dominant 4-0 away win against Beerschot.

David’s consistency in front of goal has been instrumental for the Belgian side this season.  
 
Meanwhile, Philip Otele opened his account for Basel with a well-taken goal in their 4-1 victory over Sion.

The 25-year-old scored after being set up by Xherdan Shaqiri, marking a memorable moment in his Basel career.
