'It's going to be war' - Iwobi issues battle cry ahead of Fulham's trip to Chelsea
Published: December 25, 2024Alex Iwobi has sent a bold message to Chelsea ahead of Fulham's highly anticipated Boxing Day clash with their West London rivals.
The Super Eagles midfielder, who has been a key figure in Fulham's impressive form this December, described the upcoming derby as a battle and warned the Blues to expect a fierce encounter.
Speaking to the club's media, Iwobi, who has scored five goals and provided three assists in the Premier League this season, emphasized the challenge Chelsea will face.
"Confident team. They have got so many talented players not just the eleven. But the players they can bring on as well can impact the game," said Iwobi to Fulham's official website.
"It is another derby. So I am sure, how good you're is going to be out the window. It is going to be war."
The Nigerian international's message comes ahead of the crucial fixture at Stamford Bridge, with Fulham remaining unbeaten in December.
The Nigerian midfielder emphasized Fulham's preparedness to study and exploit Chelsea's weaknesses ahead of the derby.
"Yeah, we will analyze then, we will see their weakness and their strength and know how we can exploit them," he said.
With this statement, the Nigerian midfielder is determined to deliver a strong performance to help Fulham secure a positive result, maintain their unbeaten record in December, and strengthen their position in the league as they continue to vie for a European spot.
