In an interview with PoojaDissects, Alex Iwobi included his uncle Austin Jay-Jay Okocha as he was asked to name his all-time top four Super Eagles players.
A three-time World Cupper, Okocha won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles, and two years later the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, United States.
On a personal level, Okocha delivered one of his best performances in a Super Eagles jersey in a friendly against England at Wembley Stadium in November 1994.
The Fenerbahce and Bolton Wanderers legend is followed by another 1996 Olympics gold medalist Nwankwo Kanu, 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning captain Joseph Yobo and reigning African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen.
Apart from Joseph Yobo, the players chosen by Iwobi as his top four Super Eagles stars, past and present, were all nominated for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
When asked to reveal the best left-footed and right-footed players of all-time, he went for two of his current teammates, Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman respectively.
As for the fastest player, Iwobi picked athlete-turned-footballer Ola Aina, and named Kenneth Omeruo and Jay-Jay Okocha as the strongest and most skillful players respectively.
When it comes to football IQ, the former Everton star ranked Toffees legend Joseph Yobo as the top player.
Iwobi is the most experienced player in the current Super Eagles squad, with 81 caps accumulated since his debut against Democratic Republic of Congo in 2015.
