Published: September 26, 2024The highly-rated Nigerian left-back Emmanuel Ayinde will continue his development at the Chelsea academy.
Rising Ballers reported on Thursday that Millwall and England U15 left-back Emmanuel Ayinde has signed for Chelsea.
The Anglo-Nigerian defender has been described as one of the most exciting young fullbacks coming up in England right now and had all the top clubs scouting him before he agreed terms with the Blues.
Ayinde played up his age group in his final season at Millwall, having received call-ups to the U16s.
Although the fullback has not revealed the type of contract he signed, it is one hundred percent confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a schoolboy contract, given that he is an U16 player.
Emmanuel Ayinde’s family was present at the signing ceremony, after which he revealed that he felt blessed to represent the best club in London.
Over the next few years, he will be aiming to sign a scholarship at Chelsea and make his debut in the U18 Premier League.
Dominic Solanke, Faustino Anjorin, Ola Aina, Tyrique George, and Eddie Newton rose through the academy ranks to make their first team debuts for Chelsea.
