'Just love it' - Ex-Super Eagles coach lauds Chelsea striker after three goal involvements v West Ham

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has heaped praise on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson who scored a brace and provided an assist to help the Blues record a 3-0 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League early kick-off game on Saturday.

The Senegalese forward put the Stamford Bridge outfit ahead in the 4th minute when he received a pass from Jadon Sancho, sprinted into the penalty area and slotted the ball in between the legs of Alphonse Areola.

In the 18th minute, he got fed with a pass from Moisés Caicedo, caught the West Ham defenders flat-footed as he was allowed to run through on goal, and stuck the ball into the net with the outside of his right foot for his second goal of the game.

The 23-year-old became the provider as he assisted Cole Palmer for the third goal, slipping the ball into the feet of the English forward who expertly blasted the ball past Areola.

Oliseh was pleased with the performance of the Senegal international, stating that he feels that the Chelsea forward has rediscovered the form that got him a move to join the Blues.

The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner stated on his X account: "5 matches,4 goals and 2 assists; Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson is truly impressive, rekindling the form he showed at Villareal.

"Just love it when Africans excel after facing challenges. Keep it up lil bro !"

Jackson is Enzo Maresca's first-choice striker at the moment, ahead of Christopher Nkunku.

Despite being criticized by some fans and pundits, the former Villarreal man directly participated in 23 goals from 44 all-competition appearances in his first season as a Chelsea player.
