'PSG, PL clubs interested in him' - Italian pundit insists Napoli are calm over Osimhen situation

Italian commentator and sports journalist Carlo Alvino has insisted that Napoli are calm about the transfer situation of Victor Osimhen with no club ready to pay his huge release clause except Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ahli.

With interest from English sides Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG as well as Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, the Italian side are confident that they can sell the Super Eagles forward this summer.

The 2022/2023 Serie A champions have their summer plans hinged on the sale of the reigning CAF Player of the Year with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku being one of their targets.

The 25-year-old is determined to make a move to the Premier League and while Chelsea have withdrawn their interest, Manchester United and Arsenal are still reportedly interested in his services.

However, the two Premier League outfits are unwilling to activate his release clause and would want Napoli to reduce his valuation if they are to step up their pursuit.

Not only will they have to pay his release clause, they would also have to match his wage demands as he is currently the top earner at Napoli and highest paid player in the club's history.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli via Mondo Napoli, Alvino stated that the Parthenopeans are not bothered about the transfer situation of their star striker.

"Osimhen? Napoli is calm, it's up to Victor to decide on his future. PSG and English (Premier League) clubs are interested in him, I don't rule out Saudi Arabia.

"Napoli is calm. The club has had an agreement with the Nigerian's agent since the day of the contract renewal. Napoli knows that the commitment made by Calenda will be kept."

While it has been suggested that Al Ahli are ready to meet Osimhen's valuation, the desire of the Saudi Pro-League side remains a pipe dream as the lanky striker favours a move to the Premier League .
