Agent confirms no concrete offers for Premier League-linked duo Gift Orban, Boniface
Published: April 07, 2023Respected Norwegian-based Nigerian agent Atta Aneke, who looks after Gift Orban and Victor Boniface, has confirmed that there are no concrete offers for the two strikers but stressed that they are attracting interest from unnamed European clubs.
Allnigeriasoccer.com's transfer market expert exclusively reported with certainty six days ago that no offers have arrived for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Victor Boniface ahead of the summer transfer window.
This website understands that Boniface is on the radar of English Premier League, La Liga, Budesliga and French Ligue 1 teams but reports linking him with possible moves to Napoli, AC Milan and other Serie A clubs are wide of the mark as of now.
Leeds United and Leicester City have been credited with an interest in Orban but it remains to be seen whether or not Gent will cash in on the striker who is still learning the trade.
Since the start of February, Orban and Boniface have scored twenty goals between them, including seven in European competitions.
"I would be lying if I said that there is no interest for them," says Aneke to La Dernière Heure, via Voetbal Nieuws.
"When you have two strikers of that caliber and every top club in Europe is looking for a number nine, it would be strange if that wasn't the case.
"But at the moment we are not doing that. We leave that to the clubs.
"Teams are interested, but no concrete offers yet. At the moment we are not talking to anyone yet. But everyone would be surprised if no team tried anything in the summer."
Orban was called up to Nigeria's U23 national team for the Olympic qualifiers against Guinea last month but was prevented from honoring the invitation by Gent, while Boniface was included in the Super Eagles' provisional squad for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Guinea-Bissau.
