Arsenal youth product Tella bags hat-trick for Premier League-bound Burnley
Published: March 16, 2023
Southampton loanee, Nathan Tella continued his brilliant form for Burnley in the English Championship by scoring a hat trick for the Clarets in their 3-1 win over Hull City at the MKM stadium on Monday night.
The Arsenal youth product gave the Championship table-toppers the lead in the 43rd minute and he added to his tally in the 59th minute following brilliant work from Ian Maatsen.
He would get his hat trick in the 73rd minute when he benefited from Hull City's poor defending.
The Nigerian-eligible forward has now netted 5 goals in the last 2 games for Vincent Kompany's men after failing to score in his 5 previous matches.
He has registered nineteen goals and three assists in 39 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
Having moved from Southampton in the summer on loan, Tella has caught the eye with his brilliant performances and has excelled wherever he has been played by his manager, Vincent Kompany.
With 83 points from 37 games, Burnley looks set to get promoted back into the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether they would be able to keep the services of Tella.
