Ralf Rangnick will be without one of the best players in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo for the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
Rangnick confirmed before the start of the game that the Portugal icon is unavailable for selection because he had some problems with his hip flexor on Friday.
Ahead of kickoff, Nigerian-born former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha was wondering whether Ronadlo would return to the starting lineup should the Red Devils pick up a win, albeit against the odds.
Of the fifty Manchester derbies in the Premier League era, Onuoha was involved in five of them, with his first appearance on January 14, 2006 at the Etihad Stadium.
"With Cristiano Ronaldo, there is no need for a big intro. But [if he is out], what happens if Man Utd play really well in the [Ralf] Rangnick system and get a result?" Onuoha said on BBC 5 Live.
"Does one of the greatest of all time come back in for the next game?"
City were leading 1-0 inside five minutes courtesy of Kevin de Bruyne's goal.
