Hodgson looking forward to seeing Watford's top scorer in action tonight
Published: February 08, 2022Watford's new boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he's looking forward to seeing the club's top scorer in action when they take on West Ham United in the Premier League tonight.
In Hodgson's first game in charge as the Hornets boss, the experienced English football tactician was without the services of the Nigerian as he was serving a one-game ban.
The Super Eagles striker was dismissed in the closing minutes of Watford's 3-0 loss to Norwich City on January 21.
Dennis has been the shining light in what has been been a poor season for Watford, scoring eight goals and assisting five others in nineteen outings in the top-flight.
Hodgson has spent two weeks watching the number 25 at close quarters ahead of the trip to the London Stadium.
"I’m looking forward to seeing Ismaïla and working with him; I've seen Emmanuel in training and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the game," Hodgson said to Watford's official website.
"I’m hoping that the obvious talent of these players and the fact that they have scored goals this season will continue because we’re going to need goals."

Dennis has yet to open his account in 2022, firing blanks against Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Norwich City.
