Published: December 27, 2020Fulham have extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the English Premier League after they were held to a goalless draw by Southampton at Craven Cottage on Boxing Day.
For the eleventh consecutive game in the top-flight, manager Scott Parker named three players of Nigerian descent Tosin Adarabioyo, Ademola Lookman and Ola Aina in his starting lineup, while Saints winger Nathan Tella was a non-playing substitute.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ivan Cavaleiro and Lookman fluffed chances to win the game, Southampton's Ward-Prowse hit the woodwork while Shane Long and Theo Walcott saw their goals chalked off after a VAR review.
Lookman and Adarabioyo have taken to Instagram to express their happiness at getting a point from the game.
The central defender posted : "Another point. @FulhamFC 😤".
The winger added : "Unfortunate not to get all 3 points today, but the fight goes on!💪🏽 @fulhamfc".
Fulham are 18th in the standings with eleven points ahead of a London derby against Tottenham Hotspur this coming Wednesday.
