'Even if Osimhen doesn't stay' - Turkish football expert claims Galatasaray are eyeing Liverpool star

Turkish champions Galatasaray are reportedly exploring a blockbuster move to secure Liverpool's Mohamed Salah as uncertainty surrounds the future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli during the summer transfer window, has been in scintillating form since arriving in Istanbul.

The Super Eagles star has netted eight goals and provided four assists in just ten appearances across all competitions, becoming a pivotal figure in the Yellow-Reds' attack.

Despite his impressive performances, speculation continues to swirl regarding his future, with several European clubs reportedly interested in acquiring his services during the upcoming transfer windows.

Prominent Turkish football analyst Serdar Ali Çelikler recently revealed Galatasaray's contingency plans should Osimhen depart.

Speaking to Habersarikirmizi, Çelikler disclosed that the club is seriously considering an ambitious move for Salah, whose current contract with Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the season.

"Even if Osimhen doesn't stay, Galatasaray will get a player of that level. Because they've seen those places. The eye is afraid of what it sees," Çelikler stated.

"I don't think anyone lower will get him. There won't be a serious loss of level after this."

He added, "Galatasaray is really thinking about Mohamed Salah. It's an extremely difficult transfer, but they are thinking about it."

Salah, widely regarded as one of the world's premier forwards, would represent a monumental signing for Galatasaray.

However, the complexity of the potential deal and competition from other top clubs may present significant challenges.

For now, Osimhen remained a crucial part of Galatasaray's push for domestic and European success this season, but the club’s ambitious plans hint at their determination to maintain their status as a powerhouse in Turkish and international football.
