Chelsea's Next Big Thing Anjorin Reacts After Five-Star Display Against Manchester United
Published: December 19, 2020Faustino Anjorin, who has been heralded as the next academy star to break into Chelsea's first team, was in his element in a Premier League 2 clash against Manchester United on Friday afternoon.
The Anglo-Nigerian attacking midfielder enhanced his growing reputation by scoring a brace and providing two assists as the Blues cruised to a 6-1 win over the Red Devils.
The game was less that two minutes old when Anjorin set up the opening goal scored by Marcel Lewis and the number 10 was involved in the build-up to Chelsea's second goal netted by Jude Soonsup-Bell in the 3rd minute, before making it three in the 34th minute.
Five minutes into the second half, he didn't have any problem whatsoever converting a spot kick to put Chelsea 4-0 up and Charlie Brown added his name to the list of scorers in the 72nd minute assisted by Anjorin.
Writing on Instagram, Anjorin said : "Great win earlier today vs United!🔥 Great performance from the boys also happy to grab 2 goals and 2 assists🎯🤝".
The 19-year-old Anjorin has debuted for Chelsea in the League Cup, Premier League and Champions League and made the bench for the Emirates FA Cup.
