Three Nigerians Involved In Move Leading To Arsenal's Winning Goal Vs Leicester City U23s
Arsenal made it four consecutive wins in the Premier League 2 after beating Leicester City 2-1 at Meadow Park on Friday night.

Promising teenagers Folarin Balogun and Miguel Azeez are unlikely to make their Premier League debuts against Everton tomorrow evening with both named in Arsenal's starting lineup along with Ryan Alebiosu, Tim Akinola and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.

Calum Chambers opened the scoring for the home side, tucking home the rebound after Balogun's effort was saved by goalkeeper Stolarczyk in the 16th minute.

The Foxes managed to find a route back into the game when O'Connor headed past Okonkwo just before half time.

Around the hour mark, Moller thought he had put the north London team 2-1 up but the goal was disallowed as Azeez who created the chance was offside.

Three players of Nigerian descent were involved in the move that led to Arsenal's winning goal fourteen minutes to the end of the game.

Having received a pass from Cottrell, Azeez played the ball to Alebiosu, who crossed for Balogun and the striker put Arsenal back in front - his seventh goal for the Arsenal teams in 2020-2021.

Two Nigeria-eligible goalkeepers in Ovie Ejeheri and Chituru Odunze were unused substitutes for Arsenal and Leicester City respectively.
