Chelsea's Goalkeeper On The Radar Of Nigerian Federation Closing In On Return To Full Fitness
Published: December 06, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Chelsea goalkeeper Prince Adegoke is closing in on a return to full fitness.
The 2003-born glovesman, who signed his first professional contract with The Blues last month, has not kicked a ball in a competitive match this season after undergoing meniscus surgery due to an injury he suffered during the warmup of a friendly against Crystal Palace back in September.
Though Adegoke has not resumed full training with the rest of his U18 teammates at Chelsea, he has started slight training and running on the pitch.
Chelsea don't want him to suffer any relapses and are mindful of rushing him back into action after his injury.
Born in Farnborough, England and eligible to represent the Young Lions at international level, Adegoke is well known to Nigeria Football Federation higher-ups and was invited to a Golden Eaglets training camp last year but club and educational commitments prevented him from traveling to Abuja.
Tall for his age, Adegoke will be hoping to make his competitive debut for Chelsea U18s in the coming weeks having made the bench on five occasions while still a schoolboy.
