Liverpool Academy Product Amoo Named In EFL League Two Team Of The Week
Published: November 16, 2020Liverpool Academy product of Nigerian descent David Amoo has been named in the EFL League Two Team of the Week powered by Whoscored.com ratings following the conclusion of the game week 12 fixtures.
Amoo opened his account for the season in Port Vale's 4-3 loss to Tranmere Rovers at Vale Park on Saturday, November 14.
Twenty four minutes into the contest, the winger doubled Port Vales' advantage, spinning his man before cannoning the ball off the underside of the crossbar.
In the Best XI, Amoo, who was awarded a 7.71 rating, slotted in as the right midfielder in a 3-4-3 formation.
The 29-year-old was the joint most fouled Port Vale player, winning two free-kicks, made two tackles, one clearance with one blocked shot and had a passing accuracy of 57.9 percent.
Prior to the game this past weekend, his last goal in a Port Vale shirt was against Leyton Orient on January 18.
Amoo spent five years at Liverpool and departed the Anfield side in 2012 after making one first team appearance.
