Brendan Rodgers Reveals Leicester City Will Be Much Better When Ndidi Returns
Published: October 28, 2020Brendan Rodgers faced the cameras on Wednesday ahead of his side's Europa League clash against AEK Athens at Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis and was quizzed about his best starting lineup.
Against the Greek Super League side, The Foxes will not be able to call upon three guaranteed starters namely Wilfred Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira and çağlar Söyüncü due to injuries.
While the Nigeria international and Turkey center back are still recovering from adductor problems, the Portugal fullback is working his way back to full fitness after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
"When we have the guys back, like Ndidi, Ricardo and çağs, we’ll be much better as a squad, because a lot of these guys are having game time," Rodgers was quoted as saying by Leicester City's official webapge.
"You pick the best XI for the next game and I have a trust in the squad, no matter how old or young they are.
"That feeling is redundant when you’re in a competition with so many games."
