Ex-Nigeria U17 Invitee Targets Return To Full Training At Chelsea After International Break
Published: October 27, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Golden Eaglets invitee Prince Adegoke hopes to return to full training with Chelsea after the last international break of 2020.
The 2003-born goalkeeper has not played competitively for Chelsea's youth teams in 2020-21 because he underwent surgery after tearing his meniscus during
the warmup of a pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace
at Cobham.
With Adegoke's rehabilitation going according to plan, Chelsea's medical team has informed him that he will be able to join his U18 teammates in full training in the next three weeks, provided that he does not suffer a relapse.
The 16-year-old has already started light training before he gets the medical green light to join the group.
He earned himself a prized move to Chelsea at U13 level after starring for the youth team of non-leaguers Langley FC.
Arsenal, Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers were battling to sign Adegoke before he pledged his future to Chelsea by agreeing a scholarship deal.
He was called up to Nigeria U17 team before the 2019 World Cup but couldn't attend the training camp due to educational and club commitments.
