Leicester City Coach Rodgers Provides Update On Ndidi's Injury Situation
Published: October 16, 2020Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers attended the customary pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of his side's Premier League meeting with Aston Villa and one of the subjects he touched on was the injury situation of Wilfred Ndidi.
Ndidi pulled out of the Nigeria squad for their games in October against Algeria and Tunisia due to an adductor injury he aggravated during the Foxes 4-2 home win against Burnley on September 20.
The powerful midfielder has undergone surgery and he is not expected to return to action until December 2020.
Ndidi wasn't involved in the games with Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton, and could miss at least ten more matches before getting the green light to return to full training.
And when it comes to national team duties, it is confirmed that he is out of next month's games between Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
On long-term injuries, Rodgers told reporters : "Ricardo and Wilf, these guys are a way off it as well."
The Nath Boys product operated at center back in Leicester City's first two games of the new season against West Brom and Burnley.
