Ligue 1 Club Dijon Running The Rule Over Released Burnley Center Back Udoka
Published: October 12, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that French Ligue 1 club Dijon FCO are running the rule over promising Nigerian defender Udoka Chima with a view to a transfer.
The teenager can join a new club despite the close of the transfer window in France because he has been a free agent since the end of the 2019-2020 season.
Should Chima impress the youth team coaches at Dijon after his trials, he will earn himself a contract.
The Italian-born youngster recently tried his luck at Napoli but nothing came out of it and has also attracted interest from Serie A rivals Atalanta and Genoa.
Chima played three test matches while undergoing trials at Napoli and they were willing to extend his trial period but the player had other commitments.
The likes of Coventry City, Norwich City and Luton Town showed interest in his services before he opted to join Burnley in the summer of 2018.
Midfielder Solomon Abwo, who started all the seven games played by Nigeria at the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup, turned out for Dijon from 2006 to 2008.
