Victor Moses Omitted From Chelsea's Champions League Squad
Published: October 07, 2020Former Nigeria national teamer Victor Moses has been left out of Chelsea's squad for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The official website of Chelsea has published a 25-man squad list for the prestigious club competition and the versatile winger has not been selected by manager Frank Lampard which more or less confirms that he's surplus to requirements for the 2020-2021 season.
Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson-Odoi have been picked over Moses, suggesting that they are ahead of the Nigerian in Lampard's pecking order of wingers at the moment.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner had his football education in London with Crystal Palace and would have been named to the List A as an association trained player if he was included in Chelsea's Champions League squad.
The summer transfer window shut in England with Moses remaining at Stamford Bridge for the time being after a proposed move to Inter Milan fell through.
The 29-year-old has appeared in eight Champions League matches since debuting in the competition against Nordsjaelland in October 2012.
Chelsea are in Group E of the competition and will face Sevilla, Krasnodar and Rennes.
