Done Deal : Chelsea Announce Another Nigerian Young Star Has Joined Fulham
Published: October 06, 2020Through their official website, English Premier League side Chelsea have announced that Nigerian fullback Jordan Aina has completed a transfer to London neighbors Fulham.
Jordan links up with his sibling Ola Aina at Fulham and becomes the fourth Nigeria-eligible youngster to sign for the Cottagers in the summer transfer window, the other two being RB Leipzig loanee Ademola Lookman and former Manchester City center back Tosin Adarabioyo.
Jordan and Ola Aina were together at Chelsea until the the summer of 2018 when the Super Eagle moved to Torino on an initial loan deal before the deal was made permanent the following season.
The 18-year-old Aina has been offered a contract after impressing Fulham academy coaches, including Nigerian Colin Omogbehin whilst on trial.
He caught the eye in the 5-0 rout of Reading in a pre-season friendly at Bearwood Park, before featuring in another test game against Brighton & Hove.
Jordan joined Chelsea at U9 level and departs the club after recording 14 appearances in the U18 Premier League and debuting in the UEFA Youth League.
He has played international football for England U16 national team.
